WORK WITH ME
Personal coaching, career transition support, and conversations about life and leadership with John Carnes.
Something you want to change? A decision you’re working through? A possibility you keep coming back to?
You may know exactly what you want. Or you may be wondering what success looks like for you now.
You don’t need to choose a category before we talk. Bring what matters to you. We’ll start there.
A conversation that leads somewhere I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves, willing to consider a different perspective, and ready to act on what they discover. I’ll listen, ask questions, share experience where it’s useful, and challenge you when a different view might help. Together, we’ll examine what you want, what’s getting in the way, and what you can do next. You define success. Our work is to turn that understanding into deliberate choices, practical steps, and follow-through—with room to adjust and some humor along the way.
Focused help when you need it Sometimes there’s a specific task in front of you. For a career transition, that might mean reviewing your résumé, developing a cover letter, preparing for an interview, or finding a clearer way to explain the experience you bring. We can work on that immediate need. A useful conversation does not have to become a long-term commitment.
An ongoing relationship when there’s more to explore Some questions deserve time. You may be navigating a change in your life, taking on leadership responsibilities, working through a difficult decision, or reconsidering goals that no longer feel like your own. Through life and executive coaching, we can examine patterns, test assumptions, and build on what you learn as you take action. We’ll return to what matters to you and look honestly at what is—and isn’t—working. I’m intentional about the ongoing relationships I take on so I can give each person thoughtful attention. We’ll consider what you need, my availability, and whether we’re a good fit. These are starting points. Your reason for reaching out may be different, and I’d like to hear it.
Making room to give back Sharing what I’ve learned is an important part of this chapter of my life. Alongside paid, ongoing coaching, I’m developing a donation-based portion of my practice to make mentorship and practical support more accessible. Its scope will develop as I learn where I can contribute and what I can thoughtfully sustain. If cost is a concern, please say so. We can discuss what may be possible.
Let’s start with what matters to you
What does success look like for you? Do you know, or are you curious?
If you’re curious and ready to explore a next step, I’d love to hear from you.
We’ll talk about what you’re looking for, how I may be able to help, and any cost or commitment before you decide.
